My home was built in 2013 by Mike Allison. Mike was able to provide my wife and I with a beautiful well constructed home. Mike was always on site during the construction and answered any questions we had as the home progressed. Mike was able to use his experience and knowledge to improve an already provided home design and was able to increase our living area as well as providing a beautiful accent to the home. Mike is easy to work with and takes pride in his work. I would definitely recommend Mike Allison to others if they wish to have a quality built home.

Building a home, not a house…that’s the experience we had, when building our first home with Mike Allison of Red Gate builders.

Mike came recommended in his industry and community. We interviewed him, researched past work and felt at ease. It was a great decision!

Mike built our dream home on our dream land. He understood what we wanted, needed, was always trying to “see our vision”, and built it from the ground up. Mike helped guide us with: quality materials, maintaining budgets, design style, chose subcontractors, and made different recommendations. However, he never let us forget that we were in control, as this was our home. He has an “eye” for style, and detail that is just fantastic! We appreciated him being so attentive to the job site, being here almost daily.

Mike got to know us personally, and we trust him. He finished our home at budget, and under the time frame. We’ve been in our home a little over a week now and love it. We also feel very confident that if anything occurs during the year warranty time frame, Mike will be here to get it taken care of, and visit. Now, Mike seems more like family, and not just our builder.

I’ve known Mike for a few years and have been very impressed with Mike the man, before knowing very much about Mike the builder. Ultimately, we decided on Mike because we felt he was someone we could trust. He is a good man, with a big heart, and we both had a tremendous peace that Mike would shoot us straight, not take advantage of our ignorance, etc. At the end of the day, I just knew that Mike would do a great job and we wouldn’t regret trusting him with our addition and remodel.

Mike was our builder, design consultant, marriage counselor (we had only been married a month when we started the renovation), and a whole lot more. I enjoyed working with Mike and would do it again, though I hope we retire in our current place. Everybody that has seen the house before and after are amazed at the transformation. I know of at least one friend who has since hired Mike for a renovation after sitting in our living room admiring the work, and several others that have taken his contact information from me for a future project.

Rachel and I could not be happier with the result. Mike was very attentive to our desires and vision, and was great to work through each step of the process. We talked at length on exactly what we wanted (or thought we wanted) and he did a great job of making our vision a reality. Living in the basement during construction and coming home to the construction every afternoon allowed for us to see each of our decisions from the foundation up, so we made lots of modifications along the way as it came together. Mike was flexible and as it came together made some great recommendations that made the finished product even more than we envisioned.

Red Gate Builders and Mike Allison did an excellent job on our kitchen remodel from start to finish. We purchased a very old home that needed a complete new kitchen. Employees were courteous and respectful to us and our home, and the owner was on site on a regular basis to keep us updated on every detail of the project. We were most impressed by their attention to detail and their ability to complete the project timely and within budget, even with all the little surprises that come with an old house. The level of honesty and integrity we experienced with Red Gate Builders is hard to find these days. We will definitely use them for all future large and small projects.
